Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Guess the Puzzle (the “Game”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Game. These Terms are between you and MAKA Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Game & License

Guess the Puzzle is a free-to-play puzzle game. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the Game for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Game, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code without our written permission.

3. User Accounts

The Game is fully anonymous — no registration or login is required to play. When you first launch the Game, an anonymous account is automatically created with an auto-generated display name (e.g., “SwiftFox”) and a puzzle-image avatar. Your progress is tied to this anonymous account on your device.

Optionally, you may link your anonymous progress to a Google account to persist data across devices. You are responsible for maintaining access to any linked Google account. We are not responsible for data lost due to device loss or account deletion.

4. Virtual Items

The Game includes virtual in-game items such as Stars and Energy. These items:

• Have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes
• Are not purchased with real money — they are earned through gameplay
• Are not refundable under any circumstances
• May be modified, removed, or rebalanced by us at any time without notice or compensation

You do not own virtual items. We grant you a limited license to use them within the Game subject to these Terms.

5. Advertisements

The Game contains rewarded video advertisements served by Google AdMob. Watching a rewarded ad may grant you in-game benefits (such as energy hints). Ad content is provided by Google and subject to Google’s advertising policies. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Ad content is filtered to a Teen rating or below. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland are presented with a consent dialog before ads are served, in compliance with GDPR. Users in applicable US states are presented with a privacy notice allowing them to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. You may update your ad preferences at any time via Ad Preferences in your profile menu.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Cheat, hack, or exploit bugs to gain unfair advantages
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the Game
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Game
• Interfere with other players’ gameplay or the Game’s infrastructure
• Use the Game for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Game systems or data

7. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All game mechanics, software, text, audio, and original graphics are owned by or licensed to MAKA Studio and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Playing the Game does not grant you any ownership rights over Game content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Some puzzle images used in the Game are sourced from publicly available content under Creative Commons or similar free-use licenses. We make reasonable efforts to use only images that are free for non-commercial use. However, if you are a copyright holder and believe that any image in the Game infringes your rights, please contact us at muafkhar+CR@gmail.com with the following details:

• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
• The specific puzzle image(s) in question (a screenshot is helpful)
• Your contact information
• A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

We take copyright concerns seriously and will promptly review your request. If a valid claim is confirmed, we will remove or replace the image within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE GAME IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAKA Studio SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE GAME, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF VIRTUAL ITEMS, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, DATA LOSS, OR DEVICE ISSUES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $1 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Game at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Game ends immediately and we may delete your account data.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Game shall be resolved in the courts of Pakistan.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
